Guiding on the Upper Teign

We have access to the Upper Teign Fishing Association water. They have the fishing rights on the upper reaches of the River Teign. High in Dartmoor National Park, this Devon stream has two sources which form the North and South Teign. The two branches of the river drop down from Dartmoor to join near Chagford and the river soon plunges into the dramatic wooded gorge which starts beneath Castle Drogo and continues for about seven miles past Fingle Bridge and on to Steps Bridge near Dunsford.

Fly fishing for wild brown trout can be enjoyed at any time in the season, which runs from the 15th of March until the 30th September with May and June usually offering the cream of the dry fly fishing. During a guided day we will fish the method most appropriate to the water conditions, late season dry fly can be fast and furious. Please contact us to discuss you requirements so that we can tailor each session to suit your individual needs.
